Red Rock Services WA

Red Rock Services WA has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Business Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2025. The Australian Business Award for Business Innovation [BIA] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to business innovation.

We are incredibly proud to be recognised as an ABA100® Winner for Business Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2025. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, ingenuity, and resilience of our entire team at Red Rock Services WA.

From the beginning, our vision has been to challenge convention, embrace sustainable technologies, and create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous participation. Being acknowledged at a national level reinforces that our commitment to innovation is not only transforming the way our industry operates, but also delivering real, lasting benefits to our clients, our communities, and the environment.

Our locally manufactured, off-grid solar transportable buildings (offices, crib rooms and ablutions) were born out of necessity during a challenging time, but they have since become an innovative solution that is reshaping expectations around safety, sustainability, and regional capability. This award recognises the impact of that innovation—and the potential it holds for a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive future.

We extend our gratitude to our partners, clients, and community supporters who continue to believe in our mission. This milestone strengthens our resolve to keep pushing boundaries and to lead with purpose.

Red Rock Services is a majority Aboriginal-owned company, proudly Supply Nation Certified and registered on the Aboriginal Business Directory WA. Founded in 2019, the business operates across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Kimberley, with a mission to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact and create opportunities for Aboriginal participation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Red Rock identified a critical supply shortage: transportable buildings had a 12-month wait time. In response, the company pioneered the local manufacture of off-grid, solar-powered transportable buildings, eliminating reliance on diesel generators. These buildings feature advanced battery technology and the first of its kind self-ballasting tank, cyclone-rated for Region D, Cat 2.

These innovative solutions address industry challenges, including high diesel costs, safety risks, and carbon emissions, and deliver measurable benefits for clients by supporting decarbonization targets, reducing fossil fuel dependency, and mitigating HSE risks while creating carbon credits.

For stakeholders, including tier 1 mining and oil and gas companies, the innovation aligns directly with ESG commitments. For local communities, it brings regional manufacturing, jobs, training, and a reduced environmental footprint.

Through this initiative, Red Rock demonstrates world-first innovation, advancing sustainability while supporting the needs of both industry and the community.
